Privacy Impact Assessments

The Army Medical Department is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information entrusted to its care.  Section 208 of the E-Government Act of 2002 requires all government agencies to evaluate systems that collect personal information to ensure that the privacy of this information is protected.  The mechanism by which agencies perform this evaluation is a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA).

The E-Government Act also requires organizations to make PIAs available to the public.  The following systems have PIAs on file with the Assistant Chief of Staff for Information Management.  Send questions to pia.request@amedd.army.mil.
